Pips Pass is an exclusive dining experience located at the 8 seat chef’s counter in the Shore Restaurant at the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel. It features an ever-evolving, seasonally driven tasting menu, meant to be fun, intriguing, and one of a kind.

The Pips Pass Experience offers one seating for 8 individuals every Friday & Saturday evening starting at 7:00 pm. What Is


A ‘pip’ is the small seed found in fruits such as grapes and apples. The plural word ‘pips’ was chosen for its metaphorical meaning; every great dish starts with the small ‘seed’ of an idea, and grows into a memorable experience.

Every pip is a unique hybrid; when sprouted and mature, they are completely unique from their parent varietal. As we stand on the shoulders of great chefs and their culinary creations, we strive to continually evolve into new varieties of cuisines and experiences, served at our kitchen’s ‘pass.’

Pips Pass is located inside the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel 1 S, Lake St, Reno, NV 89501 at The Shore Room Restaurant’s Chefs Counter.

Do you take reservations?

Reservations are required, and are secured by purchasing one ticket per seat per guest. You can check available dates and purchase a ticket by clicking here.

Can You Accommodate Dietary Restrictions?

The Pips Pass experience is based around a set tasting menu; every ingredient in each dish is selected to create the best flavor & texture possible. While we are happy to adjust some dishes to accommodate dietary restrictions, we can not guarantee we will be able to do this with all menu items. When booking your experience, please make sure to detail the dietary restrictions for each guest when prompted. We will reach out if we are unable to accommodate to discuss various options available.
